(CuS0,·5H0)Copper sulfate
Copper sulfate is easily weathered when heated in dry air, and its surface turns into white powder. When heated to 110°C, it loses four crystal waters, and above 150°, it loses all crystal water and becomes white anhydrous copper sulfate. It is easily deliquescent when damp and easily soluble in water. Insoluble in alcohol, it reacts with alkali to generate Cu(OH)2 or basic copper sulfate.
